WAKE UP AND THINK SCRIPTURALLY

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…” — Proverbs 23:7 (KJV)

One of the greatest transformations that takes place in the life of a believer is the renewal of the mind. God did not call us merely to change our outward conduct; He called us to think differently (Romans 12:2). One of my predecessors and mentors in FAITH, Dr. Bill Winston, once said that “thinking is where it begins.” The moment a man is born again, he receives a new life in Christ, but he must also learn to align his thoughts with the truth of God’s Word. This is why every believer must wake up and think scripturally.

To think scripturally means to see life from God’s perspective. Many believers love God sincerely, yet they struggle in life because their thinking remains shaped by natural limitations rather than the divine truth of God’s Word. It is essential to note that victory begins when the mind submits to the Word. Your thoughts determine your response to life, and how far you will thrive in it. If your mind is filled with defeat, fear, and unbelief, your words and actions will reflect the same. But when your heart is saturated with God’s Word, you begin to respond with FAITH, wisdom, and confidence. Scriptural thinking produces a FAITH-governed life and trains the believer to agree with God even when circumstances appear contrary.

The enemy often attacks the believer through the mind, planting suggestions of weakness, failure, and impossibility. But the Word of God gives us the power to resist every thought that is contrary to divine truth. When you think scripturally, you reject every imagination that exalts itself above the knowledge of God in your life (2 Corinthians 10:5). This includes the negative opinions of other people and yourself about your life and future. You begin to declare what God has said concerning your health, your purpose, your family, and your future.

Beloved, do not allow your life to be governed by random thoughts or natural reasoning. Wake up every day and bring your mind under the influence of the Word. Meditate on the Word until it shapes your perspective, your speech, and your decisions. When your thinking is governed by the Word of God, your life will begin to reflect the victory, wisdom, and authority that belong to you in Christ.

SAY THIS PRAYER:

Lord Jesus, I thank You for the transforming power of Your Word. Help me to renew my mind daily and to think in agreement with Your Word. Deliver me from wrong patterns of thought and teach me to see every situation from Your perspective in Jesus’ name. Amen.
