DEVOTIONAL
"Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell."
(James 3: 4-6)
Every man’s life goes in the direction of his words. This is an undeniable truth in the Kingdom and in natural laws. Like a huge ship is turned about with a very small helm, our lives are turned about by the little thing called the tongue.
The tongue no man can tame! but what direction is your tongue leading you to? To greater heights or to damnation? You check. You decide.
Our heavenly Father wants us to use our tongue rightly and speak our way to life. Don’t speak death but life. Jesus said “A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things… But I say unto you that every word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement for by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words, thou shall be condemned.” (Matthew 12: 35-37)
We determine what we want in this life, not the devil. Not even our friends or adversaries. Through your words, you choose justification for yourself – or condemnation.
This week, make up your mind to speak life. speak justification. Speak Grace. Speak the BLESSING. Speak promotion and prophecy an ever-increasing life.
SAY THIS PRAYER:
Dear Lord, I make this declaration before you - and the hosts of heaven and earth. From today, I choose and speak life. I speak justification and continuous increase to my life. I speak my way to the more-abundant life which You came to offer in Jesus name. AMEN!
