THE POWER OF YOUR FAITH

“You don’t have enough faith. I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.” - Matthew 17:20 (NLT).

"If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." - Mark 9:23.

FAITH is the necessary force that guarantees victory in life. It is so powerful that it can change your story in 24 hours (2 Kings 7:1-18). It is the very victory that overcomes the world and the activator of the supernatural.

If FAITH is so powerful, why do many Christians live below their privileges in Christ? This is often because of their inability or unwillingness to work out FAITH and engage in divine violence that taketh by force. Every man has been given the measure of FAITH (Romans 12:3). But not every man is engaging their God-given FAITH. Our generation is not one that should live only by the measure of FAITH. We are a generation that is destined to live from FAITH to FAITH (Romans 1:17) and from glory to glory.

This is an important part of the Christian walk. The only way we can stand before God; walk with Him and please Him is by FAITH (Hebrews 11:6). When the devil and his demons are throw all manners of fiery darts or challenges at you, you can easily quench them when you have the shield of FAITH (Ephesians 6:16).

In Mark 10:46-52, we can see how the power of FAITH transformed the life of Bartimaeus. The blind beggar wanted his sight, and added feet to his FAITH. One important faith-step he took was to cast away his beggarly garment before even meeting Jesus (vs 50). By doing that, Bartimaeus proved his FAITH in Jesus. He was confident he would no longer remain a beggar, or need his beggarly cloak, after meeting Jesus. This was an act of FAITH.

Had the woman with the issue of blood not stepped out in FAITH, there was no way she would have received her healing by touching Jesus’ garment (Luke 8:43-48). In that very scene, Peter’s response to Jesus showed that many people were thronging, touching and even squeezing Jesus – but they were not thronging or touching in FAITH. Only FAITH could draw power from the Messiah, and this was why Jesus said to the woman, “your FAITH has made you whole.

Another interesting story was recorded in Mark 2:1-12 – the story of the four radical friends and the sick of the palsy. It takes FAITH to have to dare to destroy the roof of another man’s house because your friend needed healing. Please note, the roof of another man’s house. That was radical FAITH. Before healing the sick of the palsy, the Bible noted that Jesus saw their FAITH (vs 5). He saw their protocol-breaking and roof-destroying FAITH. I enjoy this story everytime I study the Bible; it is a reminder that FAITH can break protocols.

Your FAITH will bring about a huge change in your life. It is your FAITH that will bring you your long-awaited breakthrough. I have seen FAITH repair fallen marriages and build families. Most notably, it is your FAITH IN GOD that will help you fulfill your divine destiny on earth. Without it, you cannot please God.

God wants us to experience the power of our FAITH. He wants us to depend on Him alone as our only Source. Make up your mind to live by FAITH; start everything you do in FAITH, stay in FAITH and finish them in FAITH.

Remember, we walk by FAITH and not by sight!

God bless you!
